Q: I didn’t receive an order confirmation. Did my order go through?
A: Please check your spam box. Sometimes order confirmations & FedEx tracking information ends up in your spam box. It just depends on your email provider.
Q: When is my order shipped?
A: Please select your requested ship date when placing your order. We ship Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday. Our cakes are estimated to arrive 2-4 business days from shipping. At times – weather delays may prevent this from happening.
Q: What shipping options are available?
A: FedEx Home Delivery, FedEx Ground, FedEx Express & FedEx Overnight. All shipping options are trackable. Most orders are shipped via FedEx Ground / Home Delivery.
Q: Is Priority/Rush shipping available?
A: Yes, FedEx Standard Overnight with next day arrival by 8pm. If FedEx Overnight Priority AM or FedEx First Overnight delivery is needed, please contact us regarding availability. These services are not available in all areas.
Q: Do you ship to APO / FPO Addresses?
A: YES!! We love shipping our cakes to deployed soldiers. APO/FPO addresses are shipped via USPS flat rate boxes. USPS shipments do not have guaranteed arrival dates or tracking. Tracking is available within the USA, but may not be available once the package leaves the country.
Q: Do you offer FedEx Flat Rate, 2 day Express shipping?
A: Yes – We utilize FedEx Flat Rate Medium, Large & Extra Large boxes. Flat Rate boxes are an excellent choice for rural & West Coast destinations. Please email us for a personalized shipping quote.
Q: Are there additional charges when shipping to remote areas?
A: Yes, for certain addresses. In 2020, FedEx raised their “Extended Service Area” rate to deliver packages to certain areas. Sadly, we can no longer absorb the 2025 FedEx rate increase. If your “Ship To” delivery address incurs an additional FedEx fee for an “Extended Service Area”, we will contact you before we ship your order. We do not mark up this fee ~ you will be charged exactly the same amount FedEx charges us.
Q: Fees For Address Corrections
A: You may change the shipping address for free before the package is shipped. Address changes after the package is shipped & is in transit, will incur a $29.00 address correction fee. We do not mark up this fee ~ you will be charged exactly the same amount FedEx charges us. Address corrections may add 1-2 additional days transit while the package is re-directed to the new address.
Q: Refunds for late deliveries
A: We do everything we can to have your order delivered on time. Once your order is dropped off at FedEx – it is their responsibility to deliver your shipment on time. FedEx is currently experiencing high shipping volumes which may cause delays. As a result, FedEx has suspended their money-back guarantee for all FedEx Express, FedEx Ground & FedEx Home Delivery services until further notice.
Q: Can I ship an order to a P.O. Box?
A: No, we do not ship to P.O. boxes.

A: No ~ Not at this time
Q: May I combine shipments of multiple cakes to the same address?
A: Absolutely! If you are shipping 3 or more cakes to one address, please email us at missdotties@gmail.com to see if bulk, discounted FedEx Ground / FedEx Home Delivery shipping is available for your delivery address.

Q: Do you make Celebration cakes, Buttercream cakes & cakes with icing?
A: No, not at this time.
Q: Is my payment secure?
A: Yes, Absolutely! Providing a safe & secure environment for your order information is our top priority. Every interaction with Miss Dottie’s Pound Cake is over SSL, and will protect you from 3rd party snooping. To further protect your information, we suggest you sign off from your account & close your browser window after you have finished your visit. Especially if you are using a computer shared by others or in a public place.
